The days are getting cooler and the leaves turning the most bright and beautiful colors. October is a big month for our family! From my birthday to celebrating our 13th anniversary, farm visits and the pumpkin patch, to Halloween shenanigans— we soaked up the October skies and Fall themed  adventures!

October Highlights: Business Edition

These days most of my working hours are spent coaching entrepreneurs online through one of my finance courses, but this month I took a trip to Alabama to work in-person with a wonderful company! Three days of crunching numbers, talking strategy, and analyzing data! It was fun to be back at the table with two incredible business owners and their team!

We also welcomed a brand new class of students to my business finance course, The Blueprint Model, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of them through our weekly coaching calls. I’m always honored to step inside someone else’s business and help bring about positive change; from pricing to bank account setup to paying yourself— money isn’t always the most *fun* topic, but we sure do have a lot of fun talking about how to make more impact in the world of our clients and families.

Here are a few of the reasons students joined The Blueprint Model this year (actual student responses):

“More Confidence and Less Fear around doing the Business side of my business”

“Money is the scariest part of my business, I know I’m on a crash course to closing if I don’t get it under control and start pricing for profit.”

“Less fear around business finances and more confidence and clarity”

“A path to making the $ I want so I don’t have to go back to corporate”

“How to best handle the financials of my business and learn how to MAKE money, not lose it!”

If you struggle with the “business side of running your business”, I’m here to help!! Check out this FREE CLASS to get started!

October By the Numbers:

Blogs Published : 7

October Highlights : Personal Edition

Looking back I am truly amazed at all the things that happened in just 31 days! Madelyn’s first real “school break” and Kyle surprised us with a trip to the lake! We rented a cabin and enjoyed a few days of sitting by the fire, fishing off the dock, and kayaking! I also got to have a little girls weekend away to Gatlinburg with my aunt and sister for a women’s conference! And while Halloween has never been my *favorite* holiday, Kyle about has me convinced ;). We decorated with cute (non-scary) ghosts 👻 and Madelyn could not have been cuter visiting our neighbors saying “Happy Halloween” and commenting on how much candy she has! My favorite Halloween to date!

Favorite Memories from October:

  • Women of Joy Conference in Gatlinburg with my aunt and sister.
  • Shania Twain concert
  • Birthday at Dollywood! Complete with birthday waffles, sparkler candles, and gold streamers.
  • Fall break trip to the lake with the fam
  • Skidmore family trip to Fenders Farm
  • Sharing the news of baby #2 joining us in 2024!
  • Candlelit nights by Fever with some spooky music
  • And the BEST Halloween yet with our sweet little Tinkerbell
