It’s that time of year again…. Pool days are rolling out, supply lists are rolling in, and school buses are gearing up for their yearly debut. As summer sets to close, we linger in those sunny days a bit longer as we eagerly await the start of a fresh school year.

As parents, we are met with an equal mix of bright smiles and teary eyes for our little ones. Another year of watching them brave a new classroom and another year of wishing we could pause time for just a second longer.

I love savoring seasons as a wife and mom and back-to-school is no exception. The tradition of picking out a new backpack. The books we read the night before their first day inspiring courage and comfort. The lunchbox notes slipped into their snack delivering sunshine to their day. All part of the magic we get to sprinkle into their childhood as they embark on a new school year. 

At the same time, mixed with the mad scramble of getting doctor’s physicals signed and soccer registrations submitted. Savoring seasons requires a heavy hand of intentionality, which is why I loved rounding up this back-to-school guide for the littles.
