Mompreneur. The label given to the busy mom of littles childrearing and business building. Juggling the art of following a dream and soaking up the joys of motherhood along the way. I would argue that the stakes for a mompreneur are significantly higher compared to their fellow business owners. Every endeavor that takes precious time away from their family has to pay off. Their pricing, offers, time management, and marketing efforts must all prove profitable in the long run. Anything less, a recipe for burnout.
Building a financially sound business without sacrificing the type of mom you want to be (Hello, don’t we all just want to be as present as Chilli Heeler?)… The dream doesn’t sound crazy but executing it is another story.
Bringing home the bacon ~ or should we say berry fund? ~ doesn’t have to be complicated.
After delivering 4 babies into the world (in 5 years!), Caroline Eidson was ready to combine her former experience as photographer and expertise in Asana to help fellow mompreneurs organize their life and projects. As she prepared to re-launch her business last year, she knew she needed to build on a solid financial foundation.
After taking The Blueprint Model, she found clarity in her business and confidence in how to effectively spend her time to be the wife, mom, and business owner she wants to be.
I am so excited to have her on the blog to share her story. Meet Caroline!

Let’s start with some fun stuff! Lightning round, here we go:
Going to bed early – a mom’s version of sleeping in 😂
m&ms or salt n’ vinegar chips!
Creating my own path! I’m a former photographer turned Asana nerd and I love that I have been able to bridge the two together!
An Asana VIP day for a photographer!
I had 4 babies in 5 years – they are just the sweetest!

Let’s talk turkey, I mean, Business!
✓ The Bank
After taking time off to have babies, I wanted to relaunch my business with a firm financial foundation. After following her for so many years I knew it’d be worth it – I was just so excited it was my turn!
Where you spend your time matters financially. When Shanna took a look at my offers, she helped me understand which offers I should be focusing on and it changed the game for me. I was able to pivot and make more of an impact in the time spent in my business and in turn I was able to be more available for my family – which is the biggest blessing!
I have gained so much clarity! I now have a money plan and vision for my business and home finances. I know how and when I need to press the gas and when I can ease up. Knowing the “enough” number is really powerful. Before taking her courses, forecasting numbers felt really ambiguous.
The Blueprint Model and Blueprint at Home have taken the “Sunday scaries” out of being self employed.
I wish I had taken the Blueprint Model sooner! Shanna is the real deal and she’s for you. As a solopreneur, it is a true gift to have someone with her gifts and expertise to come alongside and offer vision with fresh eyes.
I just love how she makes numbers tangible for visionaries! When I was in college and became a photographer, I didn’t understand the scope of the backend of the business and finances. I just loved being a photographer! My business grew quickly and I had to double down and flesh out the finances and systems and routines while in my busy season. *0/10 do not recommend*.
I remember putting a laminated spreadsheet on my wall to track my client workflows. It was doable but not the best. And it definitely couldn’t remind me of the next upcoming task. If only Asana was around back then! I now use Asana to help calm the chaos and as my central hub for all the things!
When I decided to relaunch my business last year, I knew the importance of laying a solid foundation. And I am SO glad I chose Shanna’s courses to walk me through it and to get me started on the right foot. Backend project management and finances may not be shiny and sparkly, but they are the anchors and tracks that drive the business forward. *10/10 do recommend ;)*
Caroline, thank you so much for sharing more of your story and experience working together. I am so grateful for such amazing students like you! And loved getting to know you better through this spotlight!
