Velvet ribbons, brass bells, cedar garland, & cozy knit stockings – the trimmings that make up classic Christmas home decor. One of my favorite ways to usher in a new season is filling our home with welcoming decor. While I’m all about embracing each holiday as it rolls around (don’t worry Thanksgiving, we still see you), it is never too early to start planning out your Christmas decorations.
Remember that classic Christmas china your grandmother pulled out year after year? Or the stocking you grew up seeing every Christmas morning? Holiday decor holds a specially place for memory making & season setting.
I hope you enjoy my Christmas home decor roundup for 2023 (with a classic twist, of course). May these decor pieces become cornerstone items to your family’s Christmas season year after year.
Gold Figs : While we might be skipping out on the figgy pudding this year, these gold leafed figs are perfect in a natural wood bowl.
Cream Knit Stocking : A simple, cozy stocking that can be customized for each family member with monogram ornaments + ribbon. Also love these gold stocking holders to hang them up with.
Brass Merry Christmas Garland : Picture this brass garland over a fireplace mantle or through a doorway, dreamy.
Santa Mug : Is it truly Christmas without a jolly vintage santa mug?
Brass Bells : These chunky brass bells are styling essentials for the stairwell.
Metal Advent Calendar Christmas Countdown : For all of those “how many days until Christmas?” conversations in the morning.
2023 Bell Christmas Tree Ornament : Anyone else purchase an ornament for your family every year? Love this simple brass bell option. Hearth & hand can do no wrong in our book.
Merry & Bright Doormat : May your days be merry + bright… and your front door the sweetest on the block.
Stoneware House Cookie Jar : A classic Christmas decor piece your kids will remember pulling out year after year. And sneaking cookies from, of course.
Brass Tiny Bell Ornaments : These tiny bell ornaments are lovely for the tree & as accents on gift wrapping.
Gold Glass Ball Ornaments : These affordable, assorted glass ornaments are perfect for the classic christmas tree. Uplevel with a simple velvet bow (see below).
Christmas Ribbons : A few ribbons I’m currently loving for trimming the tree & weaving into garland. Because bows make everything better, right? Khaki Velvet Ribbon + Thin Brown Velvet Ribbon + Natural Stripe Ribbon
Stoneware Nativity : A simple reminder of the reason for the season.
Faux Cedar Garland : I’m a complete sucker for a faux cedar garland. Another option for a more budget-friendly find.
Ceramic Christmas Tree : A neutral twist on a vintage classic. This ceramic Christmas tree is another heirloom-worthy decor item… cue the nostalgia.
Coffee Table Books : Because it isn’t a Shanna Skidmore home decor roundup without a coffee table book recommendation. Loving the Christmas hues of these classic home decor books, Call it Home + Establishing Home.
Mango Wood Houses : A simple take on the classic christmas village.
