It’s Summer!!!! ☀️
A chance to relive your childhood, eat way too much ice cream, and stock up on SPF 50.
I’m a big fan of embracing the seasons (you’ve heard of my seasonal pillow obsession, yes?!). There’s a reason eating cake, blowing out candles, balloons, and opening presents makes it feel more like a birthday.
That’s how I want each season to feel in our family. Establishing rhythms, routines, repeatable patterns aka Traditions!
Now that we have Madelyn, I’m even more determined to create traditions in our home for each new season. One way that I’m doing that this summer is by creating a Summer Bucket list!
And while a “bucket list” may feel like a lot of pressure to you, for me it’s a way to name our priorities in this season, the intentional memories we want to create, and LET GO to all other expectations.

While these bucket list items are local to our area, I hope they spark some fun ideas of things you’d like to do this summer in your local area!
I hope you are able to slow down, take the pressure off, and soak up these sunny days with your family.
xo.

Another great addition could be exploring the numerous hiking trails in the area. For example, the House Mountain State Natural Area offers stunning views and is perfect for a family hike. You can also check out the Ijams Nature Center for more outdoor activities like canoeing and zip-lining. Happy adventuring!
Ace, LOVE this idea! I haven’t done a lot of hiking in the Knoxville area since I was a kid and would love to get back out with our kiddos! Thanks for the tip!
