that fits your life!
I know, I know, I say this every time I share an SS Feature – but this podcast interview with Jenna Kutcher on the Goal Digger Podcast Episode 56 : How to break down your business finances is quite possibly my favorite. It’s SOOO good guys!
While this Episode of the Goal Digger Podcast is called “How to break down your business finances.” We actually just talk a lot more about building a business that supports the life you actually want and other topics including :
I met Jenna back in 2016 at the Illume Retreat and was wow’d by her presentation on outsourcing and building a team. You don’t have to know me long to know asking for help does not come easily to me. Agh! I’m working on it!
At that retreat I walked attendees through my “dream boat” exercise and talked through my four Core Motivators™ for defining success (something I now only share inside my Blueprint Model business curriculum). I remember Jenna sat in the back and at the end of the presentation and exercise said “What if I don’t want more money, I want more time.”
I believe there are two essentials in growing a business : Time (that makes it sustainable) and money (that makes it profitable), both work together to make it LAST! One working without the other will only work for a short time.
Fast forward about six months and Jenna was taking off for her first month-long sabbatical in Hawaii! I received a very unexpected text from Jenna at the airport thanking me for our time at Illume and telling me how this sabbatical was a direct result of that conversation.
I truly do believe a few simple (but not easy) steps can make all the difference in our businesses. Taking sabbaticals, steady paychecks and feelings of success and happiness often come back to the basics, the fundamentals. I’m excited to break those down with Jenna and hopefully take some fear out of looking at your numbers!
